URBICSA joins the solidarity initiative led by Cooperating Volunteers and Cooperating NGO to collect basic necessities and bring direct aid to people affected by the floods caused by the DANA in Valencia.
Cooperating NGO presents itself as a “non-profit organization whose objective is to carry out international cooperation actions.” Together with Cooperating Volunteers, a network of connection between travellers with volunteer experience and cultures, they have started their own project to help residents affected by the DANA storm.
The solidarity campaign invites interested volunteers to travel to Valencia to provide direct aid to the damaged populations. “We will set up a meeting point in Valencia to group together in work teams and collaborate in schools, garages, houses and distribution of material,” the organization details in its statement.
Through this proposal promoted by the company neighboring the building, URBICSA is committed to providing support to the affected families. That is why during the month of November it has set up a space for the collection of essential materials.
Among the materials requested for the collection are wellies, gloves, cleaning products, PPE or work overalls, glasses or screens, hand soap, buckets, brooms, karchers, gas stoves, dressing material, toys and stories for children and diapers (for children and adults).
From URBICSA we would like to thank all the people who have collaborated in the campaign to collect the necessary materials for the recovery of the areas affected by the floods caused by the DANA in Valencia.
This solidarity action is another example of URBICSA’s commitment to the community and social welfare, and reflects the importance of collaboration and solidarity to help those most in need in times of emergency.
