URBICSA opens its doors to the students of l’Escola del Treball on the occasion of the launch of the Ramon Serra In-company Scholarships

The students of Intermediate and Higher Grade of Electricity and Thermal Installations of the Escola de Treball de Barcelona have visited the facilities of the Ciutat de la Justícia on the occasion of the presentation of the new Professional Development Program (PDP) specialized in Building Maintenance.

URBICSA has received the visit of the students of the Escola de Treball de Barcelona. The students of Intermediate and Higher Grade of Electricity and Thermal Installations, Energy Efficiency and Project Management have visited the facilities of the Ciutat de la Justícia in a day of presentation of the new Professional Development Program (PDP) specialized in Building Maintenance.

The students have been able to get to know the buildings of the complex and the tasks that are carried out, as well as they have been able to talk to the professionals who work in the URBICSA facilities. A first contact after the launch of the new Ramon Serra In-company Scholarships, specially designed to give a job opportunity to young talents.

The Professional Development Program was born from the desire to bet on the new generations. From URBICSA, we encourage recent graduates to participate in this project that will give them the necessary push to make the leap into the professional world. All this following a methodology thought out to the smallest detail, which mixes theoretical training with practice.

The PDP consists of the annual employment of four people, with salary, who will collaborate with leading companies in the sector. During the program, the fellow will enter a monitoring system mentored by experts in the field, being evaluated on a continuous basis to guarantee their professional progression.

The young person hired will have two mentors – from URBICSA and the collaborating company – and will receive monthly feedback that will help them adapt and exploit their full potential to the fullest.

The program is divided into 4 areas of specialization guided by expert professionals. Jordi Molina will be the Civil Works mentor, Jonatan Izquierdo will teach the Electricity and Lighting specialty, José Luis Villa will be in charge of the Fire Safety Systems area  and Josep Mª Domenech will be the Air Conditioning and Energy Efficiency mentor.

Once again, from URBICSA we want to thank all those who have worked to make this initiative possible. And, above all, to thank the younger ones for the trust placed in them.
