URBICSA and the ETHOS Chair present the ‘Guide to ethical leadership’

URBICSA, together with the ETHOS Chair of the Ramon Llull University, have created the 'Guide to ethical leadership', which details the principles and good practices that a good leader must follow in an organization and/or company. This document includes the ten essential values for responsible leadership.

URBICSA, in collaboration with the ETHOS Chair of the Ramon Llull University, has prepared the Guide to Ethical Leadership, a document that includes the principles, values and competencies that should guide the exercise of responsible leadership committed to people and organizations.

The guide is the result of collaborative and participatory work carried out over two joint work sessions between the URBICSA teams, the ETHOS Chair and the company’s main collaborators. These sessions, conceived as spaces for dialogue and shared reflection, allowed for debate, contrast experiences and jointly define the values that should guide ethical leadership in the current business context.

Subcontracted companies and URBICSA’s main partners have participated in this process, which intervene at different levels of corporate management: maintenance, operations, security, labor, tax, commercial and technological advice, among other areas. Their involvement has made it possible to enrich the guide with a plural and transversal perspective, providing complementary visions on the daily practice of leadership in complex and collaborative environments.

The guide was created with the aim of serving as a practical tool for all those who take on tasks of leadership, coordination or team management. Its objective is to offer an ethical framework that inspires a more humane, cooperative and exemplary way of leading. The text is aimed at both those who already hold leadership positions within the company and those who are joining these roles, inviting them to reflect on the moral and social responsibility that comes with managing people and projects.

The document highlights that good leadership is not based on control or authority, but on discovering and enhancing the capabilities of each person within the organization, fostering trust, responsibility and shared growth. A good leader knows how to anticipate the needs of his team – individual and collective – listen actively and delegate with criteria.

The guide identifies ten fundamental values that define this management model: exemplarity, spirit of service, humility, dialogue, audacity, empathy, justice, kindness, prudence and transparency.

With this initiative, URBICSA reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of an organizational culture based on ethics, respect and cooperation. The guide aims to be a benchmark for both the public and private sectors, helping to consolidate leadership models that prioritise the common good, justice and the sustainable development of people and institutions.
