URBICSA attended the second edition of the Baix Llobregat Vocational Training Fair, held from February 3 to 6 at La Granja de la Ricarda in El Prat de Llobregat. The initiative promotes collaboration among students, educational institutions, families, career advisors, and companies to showcase the educational and professional opportunities offered by Vocational Training (VT).
URBICSA’s participation in the fair reflects the belief that when the academic and business sectors engage in dialogue, real opportunities for collaboration and professional growth emerge. The company also highlighted the excellent organization by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, which turned the event into an effective meeting point to address the training needs of young talent and the current demands of the labor market.
During the fair, URBICSA actively participated in networking activities and meetings with academic coordinators and job placement officers from local vocational training institutes. These interactions made it possible to share experiences, understand expectations, and discuss the challenges and opportunities young people face when transitioning from education to the professional world. For the company, such dialogue is essential to understanding emerging talent dynamics and responding in alignment with industry needs.
Through its presence at the Baix Llobregat Vocational Training Fair, URBICSA reinforces its commitment to real employability and generational renewal in strategic sectors. This commitment was already materialized last year with the launch of the Ramón Serra In-company Scholarships and the Professional Development Program, an initiative designed to offer recently graduated vocational training students the opportunity to train and grow professionally alongside specialized mentors in the building maintenance sector. Through this program, URBICSA offered three one-year contract positions with ongoing training, facilitating young professionals’ entry into the labor market.
URBICSA highly values the recognition of Vocational Training as a solid educational pathway with real career opportunities. Events such as the Vocational Training Fair not only bring students closer to potential employers, but also help identify areas for improvement in training and adaptation processes.
