URBICSA joins forces with the Fundació Banc dels Aliments of Barcelona to fight malnutrition
For an entire month, URBICSA collaborated with the Barcelona Food Bank Foundation in its solidarity food collection campaign aimed at combating malnutrition and food waste. Thanks to the collaboration and generosity of all participants, URBICSA collected and delivered 175 kilograms of food to the Foundation.

URBICSA participates in the EMPOWER project to promote well-being in the workplace
The EMPOWER project is a programme funded by the European Union to promote mental health care of workers through easily accessible activities to prevent and solve work-related mental health problems.
Emergency due to drought: URBICSA activates measures to reduce water consumption
Earlier this year, the Generalitat declared an Emergency Phase due to extreme drought in Catalonia. More than 220 municipalities and almost six million people were affected by the measures published by the Government.
URBICSA trains its employees in ethical language and gender equality.
URBICSA employees recently received a training session whose objective was to identify some situations in which gender diversity is at stake and how to encourage relationships between colleagues to be empathetic and promote non-sexist language.
URBICSA, a benchmark in sustainability with obtaining the EMAS Certification
In an important advance towards sustainability, the City of Justice of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet has obtained the EMAS certification (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), developed by the European Commission. This certification, accompanied by the Environmental Quality Guarantee Seal, highlights the work of Urbs Iudex et Causidicus, SA – URBICSA as the concessionaire responsible for the management of this innovative group of buildings.
The City of Justice of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet participates in the European Sustainable Energy Week 2023
The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is an initiative of the European Commission that aims to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy. In this context, the Ciudad de la Justicia of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat had an open day to their energy facilities in order to show the efficiency measures they apply.

The transition to renewable energy sources is essential to address climate change and its related problems. Urbicsa, as the company in charge of the operation and maintenance of the facilities of the Ciutat de la Justícia, together with Infrastructures of the Generalitat and the Department of Justice and counting on the experience of Alterna, has started the project of replacement and extension of new solar panels of the Ciutat de la Justícia, helping to promote a more sustainable future.
